Cbank says bank liquidity enough for stable work of fincl system

MOSCOW, Mar 19 (PRIME) -- The central bank believes the current level of the banking sector’s liquidity is sufficient for stable functioning of the Russian financial system, but will continue to monitor the situation on financial markets and revise the volume of transactions with liquidity, the regulator said on Thursday.

“The central bank believes the current level of liquidity of the Russian banking sector is sufficient for the stable functioning of the Russian financial system... The central bank will continue to monitor the situation on the Russian and global financial markets and will specify the volume of operations for the provision and absorption of liquidity, including taking into account its development,” the regulator said.

Taking into account fluctuations in the exchange rates and prices of financial assets on the Russian and global financial markets, as well as the actions of the central banks of other countries, the central bank plans to hold a fine-tuning repo auction in the amount of 500 billion rubles on Thursday.
